The Studio

About Our Community Studio Workspace

Yourist Studio Gallery has been evolving since 1984. At that time the studio was called "Yourist Pottery Design". A 450 square foot house on Packard street that served as a studio in the back and a gallery in the front. Kay did all of the glazing and clay recycling in the basement and managed to make that small studio work for 16 years. Teaching became an additional part of Kay's livelihood. As her student population grew, so did the number of pottery wheels and the Packard street studio appeared to be busting at the seams.

In 2000 the studio moved to Broadway street and again in 2004 just across the street to a large open space that accommodates all of the different aspects of Yourist Studio Gallery.
