In this workshop, nationally known ceramicist Juliann Roush will guide you through slab-building techniques with an emphasis on surface design.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore slab construction, surface design, aluminum wire stamps, and high-temperature wire techniques.

Participants will create a stamped, slab-built butter dish while learning to design and make their own custom aluminum wire stamps. We’ll also explore creative ways to incorporate high-temperature wire into ceramic work.

The workshop includes using satin matte glazes, with an opportunity to experiment with glaze application on a provided stamped bisque tile.

The day will include demonstrations, hands-on studio time, and individual guidance throughout the workshop

All levels of experience are welcome — some hand-building experience is recommended.

Workshop includes:

• Coffee/tea/water and snacks provided.
• Please plan to bring your own lunch, or visit one of the many nearby food options during our lunch break.

If you have tools, bring those along in case you want to use them.
